Most people call me Rosie and I invite you to do the same. I am a San Diego native and have spent most of my life pursuing my interest in writing. My bicultural background has enabled me to explore issues of race and gender inherent in the Mexican American experience. I am particularly inclined to write about the woman's story, the body, and other subjects that may raise eyebrows.

I am in the process of completing my undergraduate education at San Diego State University, where I have majored in English. My next step is to pursue a MFA in Creative Writing.
